It’s Friday, and that means the weekend time’s upon us once again. My weekend plans are to lay low, since the weather’s gonna suck ass in my neck of the woods. It’s Spring Break, and it’s more like Icy Death Tundra Break instead. I’m sick anyway, so the good thing about this Spring Break is that it’ll be over in a week. I’m also looking for summer work, and my plan is the same as it was during the holidays: I’m going where the money’s at.
But enough about me. What’re your weekend plans? I’d love to hear all about it, whether it’s good, bad, both, or neither, so drop it all like it’s hot, and let’s get this party started!
To ring in the weekend, I got us some links to talk about, share, what have you.
I’d love to try this spinach noodle soup sometime. I don’t eat fish, so I’m pretty sure I can find something else that’ll work in place of it.
A post about consumer issues that affect Native American communities. It’s sad, but this is one of the groups that are vulnerable to falling victim to tech support scams. This is a huge part of why I waste these scammers’ time like I do.
A post about the tattle forms a teacher got. This is hilarious, and it reminds me of some of the kids I’ve worked w/ as a sub.
A post about the 4 types of dovetail joints. We touched on this in a class I had the chance to sit in on as a sub, but we didn’t get the chance to go in-depth on the day I was there.
Found this guy on YouTube by happenstance, and now I’m following him over on the ‘gram. These plans for a nightstand look like they’d be fun to make.
I’m super late to the party on this one, but I love this post about a Black-owned bank! Fun fact: the founder of Bounce TV helped set this up.
Love this post about how Puma and Under Armour are stepping up to make some shoes for a kid who wears a size 23! I’m an outlier in the other direction, and believe you me, it hasn’t gone unnoticed among the kids I worked w/ as a sub, haha.
Speaking of kids, it’s time to do another signal boost for a missing kid. The last confirmed sighting of 14 year old Scottie Morris of Eaton, IN, was on March 16th, 2023. If you see a child matching his description, make that call. Let’s see what we can do to get Scottie home to those who love him, ASAP!
