Back when I was in college, Farmville was all the rage on Facebook. I didn’t have an account at the time, but I remember hearing a lot about it. I even remember a South Park episode about the whole Facebook fad, and Farmville came up at some point, haha.
Soon, every other Tom, Dick, and Harry started cranking out their own answers to Farmville, both online and on other gaming platforms. Township’s one of them, and it’s one of those games you download onto your phone if it has those capabilities.
I don’t even remember how I found Township, but I started playing it several years back. I’ve reached the point where my game level is in the 80s as of this posting. Over the years, I’ve fallen in and out of love with the name I gave it, but I still felt beholden to it in a sense. It’s also been fun to see it evolve in that same amount of time to where it’s at now.
Throughout my tenure with Township, I always like to visit the “Help Requests” tab to see who needs help, and see what I can unload from my barn. I’ve never asked for help on any of mine, since I prefer to be a sort of angel investor, or anonymous benefactor, if that makes sense. I feel like it’s been sort of a way to meditate for me. It’s part of my ‘me’ time, which is why I haven’t accepted any of the dozens of friend requests I’ve gotten. I have no plans to change that.
Right now, we’re in the holiday season of the game, and the special activity is a combination of a room renovation and the cow snowboarding for tickets. It used to be stars, but I think I like the tickets this year much better.
