The Weekend Docket

A decorative image that says "The Mission Within Weekend Docket."

Holy shyt, it’s Friday already?! It feels like it’s Monday, and the universe is playing an evil advance April Fools joke on me. Anyways, we know what this means, right? Weekend time. My weekend plans are to serve out my job search life sentence. I just withdrew an application I found out I actually had no shot whatsoever with. As soon as I got the message, I had to step back in order to get in the right headspace. The reviews I found about this company only gave me the artillery I needed to withdraw it. My heart goes out to the people at this company right now.

I’m fuckin sick of this.

Otherwise, I’ve made up a new tradition for the weekend, starting back in November not long after my mom died. I may or may not go into it at a later point in time. Haven’t decided right now, so we’ll leave it in the air.

If not, know that I see you, and we’re in this together. Anyways, drop yer plans like they’re hot below, and let’s get the party started.

To ring in the weekend, I’ve got us some links to talk about, share, what have you.

One of the higher-ups at Estee Lauder posted content with racist slur words in it on Instagram, and they’ve since been fired. It was bad. Like, in all seriousness, it was bad. If you don’t know what it was, keep it that way and don’t go looking for it.

Last, but not least, a signal boost for a missing child. The last confirmed sighting of 17-year-old Kaitlyn “Miles” Langford of Lancaster, CA was in December 2021. Miles uses they/them pronouns according to the poster, so if you see a child matching their description, make that call. Let’s get Miles home safe to those who love them.

Kennedy Hoyle and Summer Wells are both still missing, with active AMBER Alerts. Let’s change that, and get them home safe to their families. There are news reports about Kennedy, but since she hasn’t been found yet, it’s speculation, and I’ll assume she’s still alive.
