Oh, bb, it’s Fri-yay, and the first Fri-yay of the new year! This means one thing: weekend time’s upon us once again, and as such, it’s time to talk weekend plans. My weekend plans will go one of two ways depending on the weather. If the weather sucks, then I’ll be going to the mall to do some window shopping, take advantage of some sales going on, and explore options in new glasses. Otherwise, I’m going back to some old stomping grounds.
It’s been a short week, and at the same time, it felt like it would never end, kwim?
Beyond that, I’ll just knock around the neighborhood, and lay low.
But ’nuff about me. How bout you, readers? What’re your weekend plans? I’d love to hear all about it, whether good, bad, both, or neither, so drop it all like it’s hawt, and let’s get this party started!
To ring in the weekend, I got us some links to talk about, share, what have you.
I’d love to try these peanut butter blondies sometime. It looks like it matters that the mix doesn’t have xanthan gum, since you gotta have some control as to how much of it goes in the batch.
I’m in the market for a new bed, and have been for awhile now. I came across Chairish while I was exploring options. They got some real cool stuff there, imo. This isn’t a sponsored link, btw.
This dinosaur beanie looks like so much fun to make sometime.
Another Green River victim’s been identified. Lori Anne Razpotnik left home at 15 in 1982, and her remains were found in 1985, so she was probably around 17 when THE bastard got to her if we were dealing w/ skeletal remains. Lori, I’m so sorry you and this jerk fuck crossed paths, and so sorry for what happened to you. You deserved so much better than that. Rest in peace, Lori!
Another idea on what to do when a sewing project goes sideways.
Last, but never least, a signal boost for a missing child. The last confirmed sighting of 16-year-old Emily Evette Varela of San Tan Valley, AZ was on October 16th, 2023. No other information is listed in the poster beyond this.
On that note, the AMBER Alert for Keshaun Williams is still going on. Anyone out there, if you know where he’s at, make that call.
Even though the longer a kid stays missing means that much less of a possibility for a positive outcome, there are always instances where it plays out differently, and that’s exactly what I hope for every long-term missing kid. The last confirmed sighting of then-15 year old Erin Kay Pospisil of Cedar Rapids, IA was on June 3rd, 2001, and she was at home. According to the poster, she has a small scar above her left eye, and she had red highlights in her hair at the time of her disappearance. There’s also an age-progressed photo to 35 years old, which I imagine would be pretty close to what she may look like today. The other photo looks to me like it was taken at school, not long before her disappearance. If anyone out there has any knowledge of Erin’s whereabouts after June 2001, Keshaun’s whereabouts after June 2023, or those of Emily after October 2023, make that call. Enough’s enough. Let’s get Erin, Keshaun, and Emily’s loved ones the answers they deserved all along, and let’s get these kids home safe to those who love em, ASAP!
