Happy Fri-yay, everyone! It’s hard to believe we’ve come to the end of another week, and that means weekend time’s upon us once again. Time to talk weekend plans. Mine are to hopefully go back to some old stomping grounds I revisited last weekend, and maybe stop by a football game watch party. I may also go to an event in some other stomping grounds I liked to visit back in college. Haven’t decided either way, but I still got some time.

It’s the last week of the farmer’s market, and I’m definitely gonna make a pit stop there. I can’t believe farmer’s market season is over. But it’s not over for good, just for a few months until it’s back on again.

In other news, I came across an ad for a book fair-type event, and I’m adding that to my wishlist of stuff to do this weekend. Depending on how I’m feeling, I hope I make it.

Anyways, ’nuff about me. What’re your weekend plans? Good, bad, both, neither, I’d still love to hear all about it.

To ring in the weekend, I got us some links to talk about, share, what have you.

I’d love to try these apple cider cookies sometime, once I get through what’s already in my cookie jar.

Some cool ideas for glitter hair. I’m gonna have to get my hands on some of that stuff at some point, haha.

I took some work home from my day job, and was listening to this podcast. All that, and a fuckin consent violator to boot. Meh, why not?

Onto some happier news: there’s gonna be a Minnie Mouse float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade this year!

I kept seeing the merch on this website I was window-shopping at, and adding stuff to cart as a pretend shopping list, and was basically today years old when I heard of Claris the Mouse. Dude, you could practically fill your whole house w/ this stuff!

We lost the oldest living person here in the U.S., and she was 115 years old, born in 1909! Just think of the history she’s seen and lived through. Job well done, Elizabeth. Rest in peace and power!

On that note, LongeviQuest lists Naomi Whitehead as Elizabeth Francis’s successor as the oldest living person in the U.S. at 114 years old, born in 1910.

Last, but never least, a signal boost for a missing child. The last confirmed sighting of 15-year-old Lamonte Williams of Houma, LA was on October 2nd, 2024. No information is listed in the poster beyond the possibility of him still being in the local area, and that he is biracial.

Even though it’s a sad statistic to talk about, the odds of a child returning home safe after being missing for a long time diminish, and continue to do so for as long as they’re missing. However, it’s important to remember that this is the overall trend, and that there are always outliers. There’s always hope. This is why I’m highlighting a long-term missing child, this one being Reagan Cordell Uden and his brother Richard Loren Uden of Riverton, WY, who went missing on September 12th, 1980. Reagan was 10 at the time, and Richard was 11. According to the NCMEC poster, Reagan and his brother Richard were traveling w/ their mom to meet their adoptive dad. However, the Resource Center mentions that their adoptive dad is her ex, and that the plans were for him to take the kids on a hunting trip. He had adopted them before their disappearance. The boys and their mom were never seen again, and the 1973 Ford station wagon that belonged to their grandma was vandalized. Authorities found blood in the car, but it belonged to the kids’ mom. Their stepdad was charged in 2013 for Virginia’s murder, and that of both Reagan and Richard, even though the boys are still listed as abductions, w/ foul play suspected. The NCMEC has an age-progressed photo of Reagan to show what he may look like at 41, and his brother Richard’s age-progressed photo shows what he may look like at 43. Reagan has a small scar on his right eyelid, and Richard has scars on his neck and nose from surgery.

If anyone out there knows anything about the whereabouts of Lamonte after October 2nd 2024, or the whereabouts of Reagan and Richard after September 12th, 1980, make that call. Let’s get these kids home safe to those who love em, and let’s get their surviving loved ones the answers they deserve before the holiday season, pronto.
