Holy crap, it’s Friday already, and we all know what that means: another weekend’s upon us. I hate to say it, but it’s the last weekend of summer. So sad! I wish it could be summer forever, haha. I’m definitely going to the farmers’ market, and since it’s gonna be hot in my neck of the woods, I think I’ll be hitting up the spraygrounds at some point as well. There’s also gonna be a movie event going on in the neighborhood, and I’m hoping I get the chance to go.
How ’bout you, readers? What are your weekend plans? Drop ’em like they’re hot below, and let’s get this party started up in here.
To ring in the weekend, I’ve got some links here for us to talk about, share, what have you.
I should get some more pumpkin flowers from the farmers market next time I see them, and try this recipe out.
It’s been a hot minute since the last time I visited the Alexandra’s Kitchen blog, but I’d love to try this recipe out sometime too. I’ve already tried the apple cheddar sandwiches, and the eggplant involtini (made w/ crushed-up Corn Chex instead of the breadcrumbs, and it worked like a charm), and I found a recipe for pickled jalapenos too. Now I won’t have to buy ’em again!
This snickerdoodle fudge really says “Fall,” doesn’t it?
So do these keto French toast sticks.
I’d love to make this for my family member. Turns out what was going on was a respiratory infection, and they’re responding to the antibiotics like a boss!
Looks like all I’m missing is the spinach and the tomatoes for this chickpea spinach curry.
Number 1 country hits from the year you graduated high school. I got “When the Sun Goes Down,” “Redneck Woman,” and “There Goes My Life.” For elementary school, it would’ve been “It’s Your Love,” and for middle school, it was “I Hope You Dance,” “Breathe,” and “How Do You Like Me Now?”
The FTC has gone after 10 companies selling products and making claims related to diabetes. Serves ’em right.
Slur Word Valley in California’s been renamed to Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort. It’s too bad it took this long, but I’m here for it in any case.
Thanda Safari looks like such a fun place to visit sometime.
Damn, I remember the 8AM classes in college. I tried to avoid those like the plague, haha, but it didn’t always happen that way. Here’s how to deal if you’re in that same boat.
I’ve got a bunch of t-shirts from high school knocking around the basement that aren’t even remotely workable for me anymore. I think it’s time for me to make ’em into a quilt like this.
Last but not least, a signal boost for another long-term missing child, whose case was one of several that went overshadowed by 9/11. The last confirmed sighting of Amber Jenkins of Kankakee, IL was on July 3rd, 2001. The NCMEC has age-progressed her photo to 34 years, so if you see someone matching her description, make that call. Let’s get her home safe to the people who care about her.
