It’s hard to believe another week’s come and gone, and thanks to the holiday here in the U.S., that means one thing: weekend time’s upon us once again, and a long weekend at that. As for my weekend holiday plans, I have none, and I’m cool w/ that. I’ve got stuff I meal-prepped that I’d like to get through, and besides, we got all holiday season to get the turkey fix on. I worked at my other job, and left my purse there. By the time I got on the bus back to town, I realized that’s what I was missing, so I guess I’ll be laying low this weekend. I got plans to get it back before the weekend’s out, one way or another.
I wanted to go to Disney on Ice, just like I went a few years back, before all this happened. As it is atm, I’m not feeling so great, so I’ll leave Disney on Ice up in the air and see how I’m feeling later on. Hell, it was all I could do to get through work at my other job today, so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.
I’m thinking about staying in for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, just gotta find somewhere it’s livestreaming, since I don’t feel like going to the trouble of messin around w/ the antenna on my TV for network TV to catch it.
If it comes to it, I’ll probably end up knocking around the neighborhood, and maybe pick up some more paints and some cheapie fairy lights for something I wanna make. I also gotta get some paintbrushes, since the janky old ones I’ve had since I was in elementary school aren’t cutting the mustard anymore.
Anyways, ’nuff about me. What’re your holiday weekend plans? I’d love to hear all about it, so drop it all like it’s hawt, and let’s get this party started!
To ring in the weekend, I got us some links to talk about, share, what have you.
No idea how it didn’t occur to me to make my own pistachio fluff until now, but I found this recipe for it when I was at my other job today. I got the mallows and the Cool Whip, just need to get the pistachio pudding, haha. The old store that was my mom’s be-all, end-all made pistachio fluff, and somehow, it tasted like super ass. It turned me off of this stuff for the longest time. At least up until a potluck where there was pistachio fluff, and I bet it may have been made from this recipe. Whatever recipe they used for it, it’s been love ever since!
Not gonna lie, the Beautiful product lineup’s pretty cool. I got the air fryer, and I love it to bits. I got it in the dark green, ofc. Now I get to be on brand w/ the kitchen stuff, haha.
This post is old, but whatevs. I love the idea of a dinner diary! Fun fact: this is the post where I came up w/ the idea to do one for myself. I may do a post of my own about this sometime, idk.
I was watching the Home for the Holidays channel on Pluto TV, and in one of the shows, there was mention of a blog by the name of The Crafty Gentleman, and I feel like this DIY desk tidy is a great way to use up some of the scraps from my late mom’s stash.
Last but not least, a signal boost for a missing child. There’s an active AMBER Alert for 2-year-old Rayilee Ariyah Rose Coleman of Dunn, NC. The last confirmed sighting of Rayilee was on November 23rd, 2023. According to the poster, she had on a yellow dress w/ butterflies and flowers, blue tights, and black and white HeyDude sneakers. Her abductor is in a champagne/light brown 2009 Nissan Murano w/ blacked out rims and tires and NC license plate number KHS-6596. If you have any knowledge as to Rayilee’s whereabouts, see a child matching her description, or see the 2009 Nissan Murano, make that call.
The AMBER Alerts for Keshaun and Ian are still ongoing. If anyone has any knowledge as to Keshaun or Ian’s whereabouts, or have any knowledge as to what happened to these two kids, they need to make that call. Let’s get Rayilee, Keshaun, and Ian home to those who care about em in time for the rest of the holiday season!
