Tales from the Search Engines, #2

Welcome to the second in an ongoing series, Tales from the Search Engines. This is where I’ll respond to the search terms that brought you here. Some of it will be silly, in which case, we’ll have a good laugh together. Other terms will be more serious, and those will be treated with the care and respect they deserve.

Without further ado, let’s get started, shall we? This is in no specific order.

“Empties Project”

If the latest, or the previous two installments of my Empties Project series is how you found me, that’s great! What were your takeaways? Did you try any of these? Did you like ’em, or not? Have you started your own empties project? Sound off below if you’d like, and let’s talk about your favorites, and what you didn’t like. Maybe we’ll all find new favorite products while we’re at it.

“how to lose 30 pounds in one month language en”

Looks like we’ve got someone looking to lose some weight, and wants to know how. First and foremost, welcome. I’m so glad you found us! I’m not sure what the resources in your country are like, since this is an area I’m unfamiliar with, but I would recommend you first clear your weight loss plans with your doctor before you get started. Unless you’re starting at a weight similar or comparable to the contenders on My 600lb Life, this kind of weight loss just won’t happen. I’ve talked about how I was bummed that I didn’t lose the 30 pounds in a month Dr. Nowzaradan talks about on the show, until I realized my results were similar. However, I also started at a fairly high BMI. Your mileage will vary. I wish there was a way to make that kind of weight loss happen, believe you me. But sustainable and healthy are the goals here. That being said, I’m rooting for you as you work toward your health and fitness goals.

“life after weight loss”

I hope you were able to find what you were looking for? If not, and if you were the one who searched for this, can you come out of lurkerdom and tell me in the comments? There’s so much focus on the actual weight loss process, and so little on what life looks like afterward. This blog is part of what life after weight loss looks like for me, so your mileage will vary, like I said to the other Googler. I’d love to hear all about how things are going for you, though!

“overweight people job hunting”

This was seriously upsetting to see in my Google Analytics and in my site statistics. Like, in all seriousness, it broke my heart to even think about it. It’s a very sad truth in life that there are many who are willing to judge books by their covers, judge them by where they’ve been, and ignore them if they don’t like either of those things. This search term will get its’ own post soon, and I’ll go deeper into that. Until then, if you’re the one who found your way here through these search terms, know that I’m so sorry that this has been the case for you. You deserve respect as a job seeker, regardless of what you look like. Shame on the ones who rejected you knowing your weight was a factor in their choices. They’ll get what’s coming to them, and they’ll deserve every second of it.

Over to you, readers. Got anything to add to either or all of these? I’d love to hear your thoughts and takeaways, so drop ’em like they’re hot below, and let’s talk.
