Happy Fri-yay, everyone! That means only one thing: weekend time’s upon us once again, and it’s time to talk weekend plans. My weekend plans were originally gonna go one of two ways, depending on the weather. I wanted to go to a baseball game, but I got sick earlier this week. I’ll catch the baseball games on the radio instead. I may attempt a trip to some old stomping grounds, depending on how I’m feeling. Shitty way to spend a birthday weekend, I know. In the scheme of things, it’s still a million times better than what I ended up w/ on my birthday in recent years.

This week’s gone by fast, even though I spent most of it sick as a dog. I ended up leaving work early the other day and staying home yesterday. It was all I could do to duke out the walk to and from the bus to the urgent care clinic. I’ve decided I’m attempting work today, no matter what the cost is to me.

I know I won’t be outta the woods entirely by the time of my birthday, but I’m hoping the worst of it’s over by then. I’ll take that as a victory.

Over to you, readers. What’re your weekend plans? Good, bad, both, neither? No worries! I’d still love to hear all about it, so drop it all like it’s hawt, and let’s get this party started.

I’d love to try this recipe for

The infamous prop from Titanic’s up for auction. Yeah, the one piece of paneling where Rose was on it, and Jack was floating nearby.

There’s an eclipse coming on Monday, and to get the Purkinje effect, wear red and green if you’re near or in the path of totality. I know what I’ll be wearing to work then.

How to clean silverware, according to a silversmith. Good to know!

A dog attacked a 4-year-old girl, to the point she needs extensive medical care. The dog’s owner and her boyfriend are both in jail, where they belong. The dog, a Cane Corso mix, was euthanized. As of today, their GoFundMe is now up to 14K. Lilliana, if you ever see this, I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m hoping for a successful GoFundMe for you.

Ashlie Amber’s got a country album out, and I’m here for it! I’m totally gonna check it out sometime soon.

Last but not least, a signal boost for a missing child. The last confirmed sighting of 12-year-old Giovanni Sawyer and his little sister, 7-year-old Sevyn of Cincinnati, OH was on March 28th, 2024. According to the poster, they were last seen near Ziegler Park.

In other news, Lina Sardar Khil is still missing, and the NCMEC has released an age-progressed photo to show what she may look like today, at 6 years old.

It’s been said that the longer a child is missing, the odds of them being reunited w/ their loved ones safely diminish. It’s a grim statistic, and at the same time, there’s always hope. The last confirmed sighting of Dannette Latonia Millbrook, and her twin sister Jeannette Latrice Millbrook of Augusta, GA was on March 18th, 1990. Jeannette’s middle name in the poster is listed as Latressa, but the correct spelling is Latrice. According to The Charley Project, they were last seen at a neighborhood gas station to pick up some snacks. An employee remembered seeing a suspicious vehicle, but couldn’t get a good description of it. The girls were going to a friend’s house, and the investigators confirmed they made it to the friend’s place. They left, and they were last seen on 12th Street and MLK Boulevard at 4:30PM. If anyone out there has any knowledge of Giovanni and Sevyn’s whereabouts after March 28th, Lina’s whereabouts after December 2021, or Jeannette and Dannette’s whereabouts after March 1990, make that call. Let’s get these kids’ families the answers they deserve, and let’s see what we can do to get these kids home safe to those who love em, pronto.
