OMG, it’s Fri-yay already?! That can only mean that weekend time’s upon us once again, and as such, it’s time for us to talk weekend plans. For me, my plans originally included an event in town that charged admission. Not anymore. I feel like there’ll be other events like it, and they’ll be free to attend this holiday season, so I may as well hold out for those instead.
My bank account’s taken a hit, since I paid off the last of the credit cards I took out in order to survive 2 years ago. I’ll never forgive those who pushed me to that point, ever. Whatever higher power they believe in, if any, can do the honors for me, if it’s that important.
No, I’m just gonna move on w/ my life, move forward w/ my plans, and make myself into something those mofos can never claim to be.
On top of that, I’m officially done w/ credit cards. There, I said it. If ya know, ya know. Now, it’s time to start bouncing back from this, and close the book on that horrible chapter of my life.
In other news, I’m taking on some hours at my summer job to kickstart the process.
To ring in the weekend, I got us some links to talk about, share, what have ya.
I’d love to try this wild rice hamburger casserole, and I wonder if it would work w/ lentils, since that’s all I got atm.
The US Coast Guard has everything about the Titan submersible disaster hearings on their website. This’ll probably take about a month to read, haha. Anyways, I saw the livestreams of the hearings on YouTube, and David Lochridge was a fuckin rockstar. Like, seriously. He uprooted his family and everything he knew to move to another country, only to be done so dirty by that janky company in return.
I saw this show on the Home for the Holidays channel on Pluto TV, and I had no idea it even existed up until a year ago when I saw it on the channel then. I’m so happy to see that Delia’s got a website, and I’ll go looking for the recipes next time I see it on TV.
This post about David Lynch’s COPD diagnosis is so saddening to read, and it brought up some stuff for me. This is proof as to how addictive the tobacco industry’s horseshit products are, and how they hook potential targets early. The post says that David quit 2 years ago, and I’m so happy to see that. It may not help the prognosis much, but his quality of life will be better than it would be otherwise, and hopefully, it’ll slow the progression of the disease too. He still invested in his future by quitting, imo.
How to fix a chewed electrical cord.
Love this post about how Maria Tallchief’s being memorialized w/ a Barbie! The post even mentions that they included her name in Osage on the box, which is Wa-Xthe-Thonba, and it means ‘two standards,’ according to Maria’s daughter Elise. I hope to be able to get my hands on one at some point, after it’s no longer restricted to members only on the site.
Dolly’s got a collab w/ Kendra Scott, according to this post. Seriously, Dolly doesn’t look her age whatsoever. Sure, she admits she’s had work done over the years, but whatevs. She’s still lookin great, imo. Dolly’s basically a national treasure.

Last, but never least, a signal boost for a missing child. The last confirmed sighting of 16-year-old Zakaria Maria Nunez of Greensboro, NC was on November 9th, 2024. No other info is listed in the poster.
Even though it’s a sad statistic to talk about, the longer a child remains missing, the more the odds of them returning home diminish. However, it’s important to remember that there’s outliers, and that there’s always hope. This is why I’m leaving a light on, and highlighting a long-term missing case. This time, let’s talk about Anthony Ross Allen of Fort Smith, AR. The last confirmed sighting of Anthony, who went by Tony, was on October 1st, 1978. Tony was last seen at the mall when a friend dropped him off there. He was staying w/ some friends in the neighboring town of Cedarville, according to the Doe Network. The details are few, since the records from the investigation were destroyed in a tornado in 1996. However, at the request of Tony’s family, authorities reopened the case in 2004, and were able to piece the details together. The NCMEC poster states that he was last seen in jeans and a Western-style shirt, which was the trend at the time. The Doe Network specifies that they were Levi’s. He has a mole under his right eye, and at the time of his disappearance, he had a cyst on his calf. The NCMEC has an age-progressed photo of him to show what he may look like at 56 years old. This year, he turns 62, but I bet he wouldn’t be looking much different from the age-progressed photo. Authorities haven’t ruled out foul play altogether.
If anyone out there has any knowledge as to the whereabouts of Zakaria after November 9th, 2024, or of Tony Allen after October 1st, 1978, make that call. Let’s see what we can do to get these two home safe to those who love em before the holiday season officially starts, pronto!
